Dennis & Sally Rhoad

Mr. Rhoad concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury cases for the Plaintiff, including serious automobile, trucking, bicycle, motorcycle and boating accidents. He also handles products liability and premises liability cases. In addition, he has served for years as the attorney for the Town of Kiawah Island and Meggett.
He was born in Hickory, North Carolina, but spent most of his childhood in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel in 1984. While at the Citadel he attained the rank of Fourth Battalion Commander and received the Palmetto Award, the highest award given to a cadet. Following graduation he studied law in England for one year on a Rotary International Fellowship. Mr. Rhoad received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1988 and was admitted to practice in that same year. He established his own practice in 1990 and his wife joined the practice in 2005.
Mr. Rhoad is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Charleston County Bar Association, and the Berkeley County Bar Association. He is licensed to appear in all South Carolina state courts, the United States District Court of South Carolina, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Personal: Dennis and Sally were married in 1988 and have two children, Myers and Charlotte. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys cooking and the company of good friends and family. He serves as a member of the board of the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy.

She was born and raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She graduated from Furman University in 1985 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science. Mrs. Rhoad received her Juris Doctor from the South Carolina School of Law where she was a member of the South Carolina Law Review. She graduated and was admitted to practice law in 1988. Mrs. Rhoad practiced with Young, Clement, Rivers and Tisdale in Charleston, South Carolina in the area of products liability defense and employment law.
Mrs. Rhoad is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Charleston County Bar Association, and the Berkeley County Bar Association. She is licensed to appear in all South Carolina State Courts, the United States District Court of South Carolina and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Personal: Sally and Dennis were married in 1988 and have two daughters, Myers and Charlotte. In her spare time, Sally enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her family. She volunteers her time to teach children’s Sunday school. In addition, she teaches as an Adjunct Professor at the Citadel.

Charlotte is originally from North Carolina and a former Marine, and has made Berkeley County her home for fifteen years. Tiffany P. Mitchum has worked for Rhoad & Rhoad, Attorneys At Law since July 2006 as a Legal Secretary. Prior to coming to Rhoad & Rhoad she was employed by Wal-Mart in the accounting office for 7 years and obtained courtroom experience at the Magistrate level. She was born and raised in Berkeley County. She has two children ages 4 and 9. She likes boating, camping, and scrapbooking.
Charlotte Cruppenink, Paralegal, has been with Rhoad & Rhoad since 2006. She has a 30 year background in the legal field and has been associated with law firms in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Her background includes work in general practice, litigation, personal injury, DUI and criminal in both State and Federal Courts. Charlotte served in the Marine Corps as a Radio/TV Broadcaster and as a Photo Journalist during the Vietnam era and traveled extensively throughout the United States and overseas. She resides in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, where she is active in her Church and community activities. Charlotte serves as a member of the Moncks Corner Town Planning Commission.
